Braille signage follows the guidelines as specified in:
NCC Building Code of Australia (Specification 15 – Previously Spec D3.6)
Australian Standard AS1428.1.

WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS:

KJAM Signage Group offers a warranty on our Signage, to be free of defects in material
and workmanship for 6 months from date of purchase. Defects that occur within this warranty period, under normal use and care will be repaired or replaced at our discretion. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear of the
products or parts.

Signs are not covered by warranty if damage is caused by accident, vandalism, improper handling or poor installation.

Any signage not manufactured by KJAM Signage Group the warranty shall be the current warranty provided by the manufacturer, if any, and to the extent that such warranty can be transferred by seller to buyer.

Sign/Backing Plate options
– Stainless Steel 304#4 1.5mm thick
– Natural Anodised Aluminium 1.6mm thick
– Laminated impact acrylic 1.6mm thick (UV Stable & Outdoor weatherable)
– 3.2mm Cast Acrylic (suitable for Indoor & Outdoor signage)

Tactile Logo & Text
– Single-ply modified acrylic 1mm thick
– Adhered to backing plate with 3M Adhesive Transfer Tape 467MP
– UV Print direct to substrate

Braille
– UV Printer used to print clear acrylic domes into backing plate

Paint Infill
– Etch Primer base with paint top coat.

Tactile Logos:
– Logos Raised 1mm
– Logos Height 80mm approx.(may vary)
– Logos either Matt Black or White
– Accessible Logo white on a blue vinyl square when not on a blue backing plate
– Airlock line used between male and female logos when on an airlock door

Tactile Text:
– Text raised 1mm
– Text height 20mm minimum (upper case)
– Font used from Arial Typeface
– Sentence Case (Upper case for first letter of each main word & lower case for all
other words)
– Letter stroke thickness and spacing 2mm min
– Word spacing 10mm min
– Text Left Justified, except single words may be centre justified
– Text wording based on examples in Australian Standards

Braille:
– Grade 1 Braille
– Braille is Raised and domed
– Braille located 8mm below bottom line of text
– Braille left justified
– Solid arrow provided where used in the tactile sign
– On signs with multiple Braille lines, a semicircular Braille locator at the left margin will align with the first line of braille text
– Braille describes visual components on the sign

LASER ETCH:
– CerMark™ product LMM6000, a general purpose laser marking ink that creates a permanent black mark on Stainless Steel. Used with CO2 Laser.

CLEANING SIGNS:
We recommend that signs only be cleaned with a mild soap and water solution, or a glass cleaner that does not contain any alcohol. Harsh abrasive chemicals or
alcohol based cleaning agents should always be avoided.

We suggest a light spray of ‘Mr Sheen’ or equivalent and only use a soft cloth.
